Who cares?

Is there any redeeming value to this?

and how do you consolidate that information with the information at the bottom of the google search page that says:

©2004 Google - Searching 4,285,199,774 web pages

Google have always been slow to update the number on the starting page. Usually when Yahoo increase his number of pages, Google correct that number.

Each november are a good timeframe for Google to make big move. Last one was Florida in 2003 and in first day of november 2001 they start indexing office document. We have to evaluate where are the new pages. In a lot of SEO forums in the last day we saw a increase of the activities of the GoogleBot.
